People in Llangollen had the opportunity to quiz the Welsh UKIP leader and AM Neil Hamilton last Friday when he took part in a live political debate in the town.

Mr Hamilton AM, the leader of the UKIP group at the Welsh Assembly, joined Stephen Kinnock MP and Liz Saville-Roberts AM in BBC Radio Four’s popular Friday night programme “Any Questions” presented by journalist and broadcaster Jonathan Dimbleby.

During the event, which was held at St Collen’s Parish Church in Llangollen, members of the public were invited to put their questions to the panel.

Mr Hamilton AM said: “I was delighted to have been invited to take part in the debate. As an AM I know that it is vitally important that we listen to the voices of local people and events like these give the community a chance to have its say and gives me the opportunity to hear about problems at grassroots level.”

“Any Questions”, which is a BBC flagship political and topical debate programme was first broadcast in October 1948 and will be coming live from the Llangollen Church at 8pm on Friday October 21.
